Mobile Entertainment was “the only trade title serving the global market for entertainment-based mobile content”. The global market will now have to somehow get by without any sort of trade title as the magazine has now gone online only.
Of course the irony is that their website is significantly less mobile than their magazine.

Well, there is an app for the website, which currently works on iPhone / iPod touch and iPad, with other smartphones to be supported in the near future. So that’s quite mobile!
The mag’s closure reflects the fact that in this industry in particular, people get their trade news online and on their phones, rather than waiting a month to get it in a print mag.
