Maxim gunned

So farewell then Maxim magazine, the second men’s magazine to close in a matter of weeks. Launched as a lad’s magazine on the back of the Loaded boom of the late nineties, in recent years Maxim tried to reinvent itself a couple of times, first as a more upmarket men’s magazine, the second time as a waste of space.

Maxim? Um respect!

More on the ABC carnage later, but I think a standing ovation is appropriate for Maxim. Any old magazine can do double-digit falls, but to lose 60% of your circulation in just one year! That shows class!
